All these answers in this interview are answered by me, DRONX a.k.a N. Bayuangga. My full name is NORMANDI BAYUANGGA. I was born in Probolinggo, East Java - Indonesia. Date of Birth : November - 30 - 1982. Occupation : Video Editor specialized in News at Local TV Station in Batam Island. Favorite Music Instrument : Guitar.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

DRONX

I don't have a band anymore Mr. John. My last band was AKARBUMI (my position was as a vocal & rhythm guitar). I was the founder of that band in 2002 and all songs in that band was created and composed by me and most of the lyrics was in Bahasa Indonesia. AKARBUMI broke up in 2006, because I graduated from college in Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia and went back to Batam Island to get real job as an employee of a local TV as a Video Editor specializing in "News". Although I don't have a band anymore I still love to make songs or tunes in my spare time at my home with my guitar then combined with some sound effects on my PC (I commonly use FL Studio as the software to make songs). I record my vocals with my battered mic then take it and the arrangements to my workplace to complete the mixing into a full song.
How did I come with the name "DRONX"? Well in Bahasa Indonesia "Gondronx" means "A guy who has long hair" and because I used to have long hair most of my friends call me "DRONX", a short version word "gonDRONX". Well now despite my hair isn't long anymore all of my friends still call me "DRONX". So I guess that nickname for me is pretty unique and I don't mind if my friends call me that, and since the first time I uploaded my own song to soundcloud.com. I chose "DRONX" as my name for my soundcloud account. My 1st song was "SHOCK YOU UP" and my intention at that time was just for fad or just for have fun.

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

DRONX

I make my tunes using my battered acoustic guitar then I then upload my guitar chords into FL Studio guitar workplace then I add some guitar FXs from FL Studio plugins like "Guitar Rig, etc" then I add Drums, Guitar Bass and other unique Fxs also from FL Studio, but for my vocals I use "Adobe Audition".

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

DRONX

Hmm maybe my songs are unique cause I make them alone by myself and one song can take about 4 or 5 months for me to finish it. You know I make them mostly in my spare time and make a song sound like a one complete band by just one single person like me is NOT EASY. when I make them I put all my energy, spirit, power, money, time, focus etc (I `m sure you know what I mean and what kind of efforts has been given to a song when a single person like me has to complete one good song that finally can be heard and enjoyed by other people :)

What bands have influenced each of you?

Wow, I think there are so so so many Mr. John, I'll make this simple and these are bands that influence me : - NIRVANA (I knew this band & heard their song when I was 9 years old,.. I `m a big fan of Kurt Cobain) - SEPULTURA - SOULFLY - SLIPKNOT - DISTURBED - HATEBREED - SPINESHANK - MARYLIN MANSON - PRIMER 55 - CREED - ILL NINO - KING 810 - DEFTONES - AUDIOSLAVE - Angels & Air Waves - Drowning Pool - DRY KILL LOGIC - Godsmack - MOTOGRATER - HED PE - KORN - LIMP BIZKIT - LINKIN PARK - MUSE - Rammstein - OTEP - SEETHER - Sublime - Metallica - Radiohead - Kriss Kross - Greenday - R.A.T.M etc :)

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

DRONX

Now I guess I `m kind of like a virgin on the stage cause the last I got on stage was in 2005 with AKARBUMI

How would you describe your shows?

DRONX

I can`t describe it now, I have no idea at all if someday I can get on music stage again :)

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

DRONX

I never had a chance for my own show (when I was in AKARBUMI I just joined several campus music festival :( but talking about music show or international music festival, I just know like WOODSTOCK - BIG DAY OUT (Australia) - ROCK AM RING - SOUNDRENALINE (Indonesian music festival) (poor me eh? cause it so little :( )

Tell us about your worst show and why?

DRONX

Most music shows or festival in Indonesia are not so good especially in sounds of the instrument like guitar/bass/drum etc. No matter how good the band play the songs, except Soundrenaline cause it is controlled by several Indonesian major labels.

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

DRONX

Well I have so many dream shows, Mr. John but who I like to meet or play with are like Gage Sifuentes from STABBINGBACK - KORN - LIMP BIZKIT - SLIPKNOT - RADIOHEAD - MUSE etc, kind of silly dream show isn`t it? :) but the one musician in the world I really-really want to meet is OYSTEIN RAMFJORD-AMETHYSTIUM

I don't have any street team yet

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

DRONX

No I don`t have any record label, "RIANDGA HOME STUDIO" is my work desk & my PC at my house and "RIANDGA" is my daughter`s last name

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

DRONX

My plans is hopefully soon I can make my own first album ( I've already finished at least 10 songs) and I want to title my album is "SOUNDAHOLIC" and hopefully with music I can have a lot of friends and can go to United State of America to see what real music is there?

Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?

DRONX

I hope from Arm The Pit my music or songs can be heard by people around the world and I can meet or know many great musicians and new friends who also love music in positive way and go overseas to spread my music cause music is a universal language from God to human being :)
